Battlegrounds Mobile India To End PUBG: Mobile Data Transfer On Dec 31: Krafton

Krafton, a South Korean gaming giant has said that December will be the last month that PUBG: Mobile players can transfer their old game data to Battlegrounds Mobile India.

According to the company, after December 31, those players will lose all of their previous purchases and achievements to BGMI. Krafton urged the players to link the accounts as soon as possible, in case they have not.

Users can only transfer the data only if PUBG: Mobile players is linked to their Twitter account. The players who use visitor accounts are stuck between a rock and a hard place as this implies their progress from the past game will be lost perpetually and they should start from the very beginning once more.

Meanwhile, earlier this year, a controversy erupted as it was reported that the game was sending data back to servers in China. According to the reports, this includes China Mobile Communication servers in Beijing and Tencent-run Proxima Beta servers in Hong Kong.

Krafton denied the allegations of the privacy breach and said that no data was shared in violation of the policy. Talking about the security issues, the gaming company(Krafton Inc.) acknowledged that BGMI uses third-party solutions to give specific game features.  As part of it, a few data were sent to third parties via using these solutions, it added.
