Ahead of the New Year, South Korean gaming giant and its Indian arm- Krafton Inc has announced that PUBG: Battlegrounds will soon be moving to a free-to-play (F2P) model from January 12, 2022.
During the transitions, the gaming giant will also come up with a new Battlegrounds Plus option which is a premium account upgrade. By this, players can access many new and exclusive in-game features.

It said that all players will have to start with a basic account that will offer most features Also, the Battlegrounds Plus option will be available for a one-time fee of $12.99.
Talking about the players who purchased the game before it’s free to play transition, those players will get the PUBG – Special Commemorative Pack.
