PUBG’s Fate After Its Relaunch As BGMI

After Krafton’s official relaunch of Battlegrounds Mobile in India, the question is will the gamers still be loyal to PUBG or they have centered themselves on other battle royal games?

PUBG Mobile was banned by the Indian government in September last year, saying the game was a threat to the “sovereignty, integrity, defense and security of the country”. Ever since there have been several attempts by Krafton to bring the battle royale game back in the country. CRSED: F.O.A.D, Call of Duty: Warzone, Fall Guys Ultimate Knockout, Apex Legends, Fortnite are the most played battle royale games after the PUBG ban.

CRSED: F.O.A.D.

(Cuisine Royale Second Edition: Fulfillment of All Desires) is a battle royale multiplayer online shooter video game developed by Darkflow Studio and published by Gaijin Entertainment. It was formerly known as Cuisine Royale. The game was officially launched on December 19, 2019. and under a new name in December 2020 CRSED: F.O.A.D. puts several dozens of players on a map surrounded by a shrinking ring of death and makes them fight each other until there is only one standing.

Call Of Duty

Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale video game released on March 10, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The game features three main modes: Plunder, Resurgence, and Battle Royale. Warzone introduces a new in-game currency system that can be used at “Buy Stations” in and around the map. “Loadout” drops are an example of where Cash can be traded for limited access to players’ custom classes

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout

It is a platform battle royale game developed by Mediatonic and published by Devolver Digital. It was released for Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4 on 4 August 2020. Up to 60 players control jellybean-like creatures and compete against each other in a series of challenges, such as obstacle courses or tag. Many different courses have been added since the game was first released; the minority are team-based, while many require not falling into slime on a spinning, floating platform with obstacles designed to knock players in and waiting for a specified number of others to be eliminated, but most are obstacle courses that involve players racing to get to the finish line as soon as possible, lest they are eliminated.

Apex Legends

It is a free-to-play battle royale-hero shooter game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. A mobile version of the game specially designed for touchscreens titled Apex Legends Mobile has also been announced which is scheduled to be fully released by 2022 on Android and iOS. The game supports cross-platform play. In “Battle Royale”, up to 20 three-person squads or 30 two-person duos land on an island and search for weapons and supplies before attempting to defeat all other players in combat. The available play area on the island shrinks over time, forcing players to keep moving or else find themselves outside the play area which can be fatal.

Fortnite

It is an online video game developed by Epic Games and released in 2017. It is available in three distinct game mode versions that otherwise share the same general gameplay and game engine: Fortnite: Save the World, a cooperative hybrid-tower defense-shooter-survival game for up to four players to fight off zombie-like creatures and defend objects with traps and fortifications they can build; Fortnite Battle Royale, a free-to-play battle royale game in which up to 100 players fight to be the last person standing; and Fortnite Creative, in which players are given complete freedom to create worlds and battle arenas.
