Qualcomm India Releases Report On Mobile Gaming In India

Post the launch of its gaming platform Snapdragon ConQuest, Qualcomm India conducted a pan-India survey on ‘Mobile Gaming in India: Trends and Perceptions’ which examined the life of Gen Z mobile gamers who turned to game as the pandemic paused all outdoor activities.

Considering the growing network of mobile gamers in the country, the survey revealed that around 68 per cent of the respondents would opt for a higher performance processor as an important factor while gaming.

According to the survey, “Processor performance plays a key role in driving the gaming industry. A total of 68 per cent of the respondents would opt for a higher performance processor as an important factor while gaming.”

The report noted that 22–24-year-old and professional players have a higher expectation on smartphone specification and 42 per cent of the respondents consider processor performance as one of the top pain points while gaming   

Meanwhile, “About one-third of respondents would like to upgrade to a newer smartphone for gaming purposes. 33 per cent of the respondents would like to upgrade to another device in the near future for gaming purposes,” it revealed.
