Kratos Gaming Network Initiates Campaign To Educate Gamers On Web3 Opportunities

The Kratos Gaming Network (KGeN), formerly IndiGG, a community-focused gaming platform, implemented a nationwide campaign across India. The initiative aims to educate young gamers about the growing world of Web3 gaming and its potential benefits, such as career opportunities and alternative income streams.

The six-month campaign targets major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Indore and Kolkata, focusing on student communities and universities. Through these activities, KGeN seeks to raise awareness among young people, reframing gaming as a potential gateway to future careers, personal development and alternative income generation, considering the increasing influence of blockchain technology.

A recent report projects the Indian gaming market to reach USD 8.6 billion by 2027, a significant increase from USD 2.6 billion in 2022, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 27 per cent. The global Web3 gaming industry is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of 18.7 per cent from 2023 to 2033. This trend not only empowers players but also fosters the creation of a new gaming-based economy.

Additionally, KGeN will conduct various activities tailored towards students and their families, including student meetups featuring successful gamers who have earned income through gaming.

In addition, college competitions and roundtable discussions with industry leaders, including educators, psychologists and blockchain specialists, are planned. These discussions aim to provide valuable insights into the future of gaming and blockchain technology, extending beyond traditional career paths. Blockchain technology typically enhances player ownership by allowing gamers to possess true ownership of in-game assets.

Further, these assets can be bought, sold and traded across different games and platforms. The platform has already facilitated monetisation for over 1 million gamers and anticipates a 20-fold increase with this campaign.

KGeN established the Proof-of-Gamer (PoG) engine, creating the world’s largest pool of immutable gamer data and forming the foundation for the world’s largest gamer reputation program. This empowers gamers with ownership and control over their data on the blockchain, enabling effortless monetisation. This initiative represents a first for gamers, granting them complete control over their data and who can access it.

Combating misconceptions surrounding gaming as a viable career option, particularly in the Web3 realm, is a primary objective of the campaign. By fostering dialogue and education, KGeN aims to address parental concerns and equip students with the knowledge and confidence to pursue gaming as a legitimate career path.

“Data ownership for gamers will be a game changer for the industry,” stated Ishank Gupta, Elder Member Council,  Kratos Gaming Network. “With this national campaign, we intend to empower gamers and make them aware of the new opportunities and possibilities. Data ownership is poised to revolutionise the industry, with potential applications extending far beyond gaming. We’re talking about a fundamental shift in how we interact with technology, with users taking ownership of their data and shaping the future of the digital world.”

KGeN is constructing an ecosystem designed to be the home of global gamer data, owned by the gamers themselves. The PoG engine lies at the core of this ecosystem, allowing gamers to build, own and monetise their reputation. Game publishers can leverage this data framework to identify relevant gamer cohorts to engage with their games.
