The India Gaming Show 2024, co-organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry and Indian Digital Gaming Society (IDGS) and supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Invest India, and Media Entertainment Skill Council, began at the Messe Global Laxmi Lawns in Pune, Maharashtra. Over three days, from 14 March to 16 March 2024, the event is welcoming participants from 10 countries, including India.
The event, situated in Pune, emphasises the city’s burgeoning role in fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, boasting a robust ecosystem for startups with access to top engineering colleges and universities.
Additionally, Rajan Navani, President, Indian Digital Gaming Society (IDGS), remarked on the growth of the global gaming market, which was valued at USD 249.55 billion in 2022 and is anticipated to reach USD 665.77 billion by 2030. He highlighted India’s significant contribution to this market growth, attributing it to the increasing interest of youth in gaming.
The Gaming Show seeks to give professionals, experts and enthusiasts in the field a forum to discuss the most recent advancements in gaming. Prominent specialists and influential figures are facilitating seminars and roundtable talks aimed at providing perspectives on forthcoming patterns, obstacles and prospects in the gaming sector.
Further, one of the main talks of the first day was about how gamification affects the educational system and how it may help students become more motivated, retain information better and master it. An additional session examined the subtleties of India’s gaming influencer market, illuminating the sector’s changing terrain and the difficulties faced by content producers.
Moreover, panel discussions are scheduled to explore the economics of esports in India and government initiatives aimed at empowering the gaming industry. Leading gaming firms are showcasing their latest products and technologies at the event, offering attendees a glimpse into the future of gaming.
In addition, the Gaming Show not only serves as a networking hub for investors, developers, gamers and business experts but also provides a platform to discuss and analyze the dynamics of the gaming industry in a formal and unbiased manner.
