Q1. Tell us more about EsportsXO, especially for the people who are not aware of it.
Ans- EsportsXO is building a tournament discovery platform for over 600 million gamers across the world. We work with large tournament publishers and brands to build tournament IPs using our state of production house and rostered players & game content creators.
Q2. How can players with gaming skills leverage this online gaming platform to earn?
Ans- Gamers and professional players can register with us and they have an option to list themselves as service providers on battleXO. For select pick creators and esports players, we offer representation with over 100 brands we work with. We also offer play-to-earn and manage-to-earn opportunities for well-known players and teams.
Q3. What are the major changes you have witnessed in the gaming industry pre and post COVID-19 era?
Ans- Pre COVID-19, the opportunities and audience was limited to hardcore gamers and only a handful of brands and tournament publishers were interested in putting money on gamers. Post COVID-19, the gaming industry saw a boom in the number of people wanting to play and watch games. The brands are opening up to an idea to sponsor large events which are enjoyed by millions.
Q4. Esports will be included as a pilot event at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. What do you have to say about this?
Ans- Gaming is getting popular no doubt among the youngest of the players across the globe, it’s going to be a medal event in the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou after it was a demonstration event in Jakarta four years back. A gamer spends a similar amount of energy and effort to win as put in by any other sportsperson. We feel with these inclusions as pilot events, the great potential is unlocked not only for the players but for game developers and companies like us.
Q5. Why EsportsXO’s extreme focus is to become a discovery platform for gamers?
Ans- Tournament discovery is a problem that we started to work on when we started EsportsXO. The players are in a constant search to compete with each other and the best teams available.
